Thread: Club kit (and tyres for Hog Hill?)

  1. #1

Cool Club kit (and tyres for Hog Hill?)

The delivery of club kit has actually now arrived (Richard was a little premature in announcing it on the website).

What tyres would you young racing men recommend for Hog Hill??

Anything really. The track will have a sweeper round tomorrow so should be flint free, I have raced Pro-race 3 all winter round it in the wet, mud etc and have had no problems with punctures or tyre slippage.

I guess you are doing the Whitewebbs and I am there Saturday Chris if you want to drop me a pair of shorts in

Cool Hog hill, this Saturday, LVRC, full circuit, oh my God!

Hadn't even looked in the LVRC handbook, Ian. Anybody else riding it?

How was it then? I managed to get into the 3/4 after running round like a maniac all morning, over 31 miles in an hour and a half with 1575 metres climbed, phew!! George unfortunately slipped his chain in the finishing sprint for 10th (a decent break got up the road), while I finished comfortably in the bunch after trying a last minute break for it on the descent. Simon managed 25 minutes or so but found the pace a bit hot.

Despite the problems in the sprint in the end, I had a good race and really enjoyed it. So much more so that Hillingdon, Eastway or North Weald. Its much more technical (although not too technical) than the circuits i've ridden before.
