    Default Simon Hook Memorial 14th March Hog Hill

    Hi all
    Just to let you all know as its not in the book (but is on the website) as it was a rushed BC entry.
    The Simon Hook Memorial is reverting back to a crit this year as it used to be.
    It is at Redbridge on 14th March.
    Races as follows;

    Masters C+ 3/4 @ 12.00 noon
    Women Only @ 12.00 noon

    3/4/J3/J4 Regional B @13.30

    Simon Hook Memorial
    E/1/2/3 National B @15.00

    The trouble with having an open mind, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it

    The 3/4 3J/4J should read Regional B

    Didn't this used to be an ERRL counting event?

    Yes it did - in 2004, 05 and 06 according to the website.
    I think it was just the 3/4 event that counted.
    Not sure why that isn't still the case, or why not both events.
    Is it because we only have one event per club in the league and API now put on a road race as well?

    I suspect that, due to the late arrangement of the event, ERRL status was overlooked. API have always held a road race - the running of the SH has not affected this one way or another, and neither is there a rule stating that it's one race per club. Indeed, when the event was run as an ERRL event, the API RR was also a counting event.

    I don't think we can include it retrospectively...
