    Default Chain Gang...

Next week? Or the week after?

Tim, this is your cue as 'The Authority' to set the date

Right, I've checked the alignment of the moon and the stars, compared them to the ancient charts and performed the ritual of walking backwards round a punctured inner tube at midnight with my kit on inside-out.

    15th April.

There will be enough daylight to get to the finish but you'll probably need lights to ride home.

I reckon we should switch to the long route on 20th May.

As opposed to chosing the third Tuesday in April like usual?

Do we want a chain-gang sticky on here with all the routemaps etc? This will avoid all the usual questions.

Not a bad idea. That means somebody has to troll the old threads for all the details then

When we get our website sorted we can put the info there, but in the mean time...

    True...

...though I always think of us starting in the second half of April. As April started on a Tuesday this year it made sense to start 'a day early' rather than 'six days late'.

At least it did until I looked at the weather forecast this morning.

If Andy Hudson turns up make sure he spends lots of time on the front, he's going far too fast at the moment
