We still require a Secretary, if one is not found by the start of the 2021 season the League will be suspended.

Eastern Road Race League Annual Report 2020

This has been a very unusual year with the whole world dealing with a Covid-19 Flu Pandemic. Because of this all but two of our events were cancelled. We would like to thank the organisers of all our events for the difficult situation they had to endure.

There were 35 affiliated clubs/teams this season compared to 38 in 2019. Clubs were due to promote 46 events, three of these being circuit races and nine were women's events.

When BC decided to cancel all events from the end of March to the end of June your committee decided it would be unfair to go ahead with our Points Competitions because of the possibility of more cancellations due to the Pandemic, we also informed the organisers of the rest of our events if they were concerned about running their event due Officials, Marshals and race helpers self isolating also First Aid and Village Halls not being available to hire, or they or a family member were in the vulnerable category they should cancel their event and no action would be taken. We also decided to give every 2020 club a free year for 2021. Therefore as long as you register an event for 2021 and you paid 2020 membership fee your club will remain part of the League.

When it was found that BC decided it would not be safe to run any road events until possibly next year, it proved we had made the correct decisions.

There will not be an Annual General Meeting this November as at the moment there is not anything to discuss and there have not been any applications for membership. If anything happens that requires input from clubs this will be dealt with by email. Please inform us of any changes to your club's contact details.

The 2021 Programme of events will be compiled from the events registered with BC Eastern Region.

We look forward to a better year in 2021 and hope most of our events will be able to go ahead.

Keep training and most of all keep safe.

Eastern Road Race League Treasurer's Report 2020

The league is in a good financial position with £4,975 in the bank. This would have been less if all of the championship award cheques has been cashed.

At the current time the league should remain in a good financial position even though the league's income through membership fees will be less than the current known expenditure.

As there has been no racing this year the league will not be collecting membership fees for the 2021 season. This will not have a big effect on the league as there will be minimal league expenditure for the 2020-2021 financial year.
