Dear Mr Maidment

Thank you for the notification. There was a recent cycle race passing
through Matching which caused great dismay with the parishioners and I am in
the process of contacting the organiser to complain in the strongest
possible terms. I intend to request that that particular event is not
allowed through Matching again. I trust that your event will not cause
similar problems which I list below

Riders throwing away their food and drink packaging
Riders using the Village Green as a toilet
Riders throwing their cycles against hedges
Riders being very rude to villagers

I can assure you that if the riders behave with courtesy to our
parishioners, there will be no objection, but we will complain in the
strongest possible terms if the standards we expect are not met.

I am requesting a police presence and urinating in a public place will be
reported. You are not permitted to use either village green as a food and
drink station.

Its fun and the track surface is awesome, however its flat and well controlled by strada sport and icini velo, both of whom turn up with 6-8 riders and each chase down any breaks that don't contain their riders, so its not great for breakaways.

Also on the night I was there, there were a fair few choppers and two crashes in the sprint, one guy run onto the grass and another hit the deck.

As its a 2.5 hour round trip and minimum leave at 5, I would suggest hog hill or MK bowl would be a better investment in your time for a week night crit.
