Hi all, sorry about the odd usr name, it's the one I was given when I was convicted and made to work for GSK. Turned out to be the only thing I can remember. Anyhow, I'm worried. I've reviewed several of the threads and it looks to me like there is some over training going on. If you're having trouble sleeping maybe you should check out some of these links.

Concur with the Badge. Cheapest option - camp site in the bordogne - aim for Sarlat. Find a Canvas holiday or similar on a site with a pool. My scam was to hit the roads early for a couple of hours then hot dog with the kids in the pool for 2 more while Mrs B slobbed it out with a good book. 200 miles in a week and everyone was happy.

Hmmm, the wife's not so keen on the canvas angle. We tried French camping holiday before and it didn't go so well.... but that's another story. Has anybody tried the cycling hotel chain in Italy, erm Riccone I think they are called?

I belive that Pantani tried that hotel chain in Italy and checked out for good.
Try France in a Gite (self catering cottage) anywhere from the Loire and south is good:

Yeah, have been to that neck of the woods. Good fun, good riding, good facilities and top food. The mountains are challenging but not complete 'leg-killers' Should be on Saturday rides again (been recovering from a nasty cold/flu thingy) so if you want to know more then let me know or email me.
