presentation dinner

just wanted to start a new thread and see what people thought of the presentation dinner
was it good value?
could it be run in a different way?
was it fun? - it was certainly noisy from the Addams family table....

In my opinion I thought it was good and want to thank Sue for organising it. The food was good and there was plenty of it.

I thought the speaker was brilliant with stories of Sean Yates going up Ditchling Beacon on a 50/17. Damn. I found it hard on a 42/21. :-)

To me the only negative would be that it seemed to finish rather quick. I phoned the golf club during the week prior and they said that there would be music after the meal, which obviously didn't happen and to me was a bit disappointing. I was ready for a good bop into the early hours but hey never mind.

Ending on a (very ) posistive note though, it was amazing to see so many people there and I look forward to meeting with, and talking to, more of you on club runs in the year to come.

Yes, agreed, it was very good.....although I did have trouble spotting people....it is amazing how much difference a shower and civy clothes can make to people!

The food was great and there was certainly enough of it. I would agree with Jan in saying that it may have been nice to extend the evening a little.......after all it is very rare that the club gets together as one big group.

Perhaps next year it would be good to get a slightly larger venue (rather than limit it to club members only, as it was nice to meet 'other halves' too) and continue a little longer.

Other than that....GOOD JOB!!!!!!
