Dear Tim

Due to unforeseen circumstances the Hempton Cyclo cross on January 2nd 2006 has had to be cancelled . The landowner has received last minute objections by local residents this year, and has been forced to withdraw permission to use the area of common where the race takes place. The land has recently been used by youngsters driving not only motorbikes but also cars, which has understandably upset many of the residents. Due to the lack of time for negotiation and the fact that the land owner has now gone away for Christmas and New Year, we have no alternative but to cancel. Please apologise to all prospective riders and we hope to resolve this conflict next year.

Oh as if the race on one of, if not the best eastern league course has been cancelled due to a bunch of chavs driving over the land!!!! :x

Is it true that the race going to be re-venued at Foxhall instead?? That will be a result because then i can have another 2 hours in bed!!! :D

Well that aint very good, thats the best track spoilt by a bunch of chavs driving about on the land! But if the race is replaced with one at foxhall then thats a bonus cos the last race there was good, and a good track can be made!!! :D

Any list of cross races in ERRL land for the winter? I just finished my bike and want to give it a run out before I start a few XC duathlons ;-)

Cheers
Dan

Hi Dan, you'll find all you need to know on this site, only 3 or 4 local races left though.

What do I need to do to get in Rounds 12-14? Never pre-entered a cross race before.. Whats the ECCL? Is Cambridge CC a memeber or do I have to join solo?

Thanks for you help
Dan

apart from the championship race which was early december all the rest of the league races are enter on the line only, no point joining the league now really with only 3 races left, would cost you £6 for which you would get a number and a pound off race entry fee and score points in the league, expect you have a BC licence so you wont need a day licence. entry fee for you would be £10, so £9 for league members with a licence, think its around £13 for non members without licence, pretty sure last years racing licence is still valid for cross.

prizes for top 5, pretty poor only £20 for winner which has been set for all races
