The ERRL AGM is THIS THURSDAY, 1st December. Details are here:

Peter Little has not had the time to circulate the agenda. As well as the usual reports, the following rule changes have been proposed, for consideration at the meeting:
1. Private membership
Introduce a private membership category, to allow individuals from non-member clubs to gain preferential entry to ERRL events over non-members. Riders from member clubs will still take preference in accordance with rule 12. Proposed rule:
i) Individuals belonging to non-member clubs can apply for private membership of the League.
ii) A yearly membership fee will apply, to be reviewed annually (suggested £15).
iii) Private members will be expected to make themselves available to assist in the promotion of one League event during their membership year, should assistance be required by a member club.
iv) A private member will be eligible for individual League ranking points, but not club ranking points.
v) No more than 5 private members from a single club will be accepted in any one season.
vi) Private membership will not be accepted from a member of any club who has been a league member in the previous three seasons.
vii) Private members will be issued with a membership card, which they must produce when signing on.
2. Field placement guidelines
To formalise the ‘equitable representation’ rule, and to comply with the new BC competition framework.
Modify rule 12:
Whilst retaining their own discretion as to whom to accept entries from, organisers are requested to adhere to the following guidelines:
For entries received by the closing date of the event:
For BC National Level events:
Priority will be given to higher category riders first. Within each category, priority will be given to: i) Members of ERRL clubs ii) ERRL Private Members iii) all other riders.
For BC Regional Level events:
Priority will be given to: i) Members of ERRL clubs ii) ERRL Private Members iii) all other riders.
For All Events:
In the event of an oversubscribed field, no more than 5 riders from one club will be given priority. Remaining riders may be placed on the reserves list. Riders will be categorised as per their BC racing licence on all start sheets.
3. Championship:
One event in each season, open to all categories excluding elite, will be nominated as the ERRL Championship. The winner will hold the title of ERRL Road Race Champion for that season. Medals will be awarded to the winner, second- and third-placed riders.
4. Promotion of Divisional Championships by an ERRL club:
The ERRL will allow any member club who promotes the Division Championship to be exempt from running another event for that year only. (This will assist the division in obtaining an organiser for the Division Championship, and hopefully the event will be organised in a different part of the Division each year. Clubs are reminded the Division
provide medals free of charge and donate £200 toward the cost of running the Championship.)
5. Rule 15 – points.
This rule to be changed to award the same number of ERRL points as BC rankings points for the race category/distance.
